Alessa is a woman with a longwinded but kindly demeanour and a strong sense of justice. Reserved as she is about her somewhat lonesome personal life, she may give the impression of being unflappable, but certainly isn't above teasing - of herself or others.

Estranged from her father, though still on good terms with some of the people who knew him. He was a former-military private eye who often worked alongside the police, but he cut contact a short while after she graduated from college and could not be traced.

Fresh out of college, found work as a programmer and then project lead in a small cybersecurity firm for a few years, but resigned after losing contact with her father to find a new lease on life. Has drifted through other jobs ever since: freelance writing, after-school math tutoring, admin temping.

Currently living fairly comfortably in a studio apartment thanks to savings and an inheritance from grandparents who died before she knew them, but may soon need a change in circumstances for financial stability's sake.

She retains her old interests in coding, cybersecurity, machine learning and other such techy things. In her spare time, she maintains a tech news blog with a modest but active following.

Enjoys coffee. Perfectly ordinary coffee. Think little independent cafes over Starbucks.

LOOKING FOR: god I want to say "anyone" I'm so new to this. Family: a dad to be newly not absent from her life would be excellent, but siblings, cousins, I'm open!
