Ren's definitely got a cushy but not over the top apartment provided by his parents, because then they can threaten to yank it out from under him if he keeps under-performing. Maybe in their first year they both did makeup and hair for the art/design dept's fashion show or something? Or a production by the theater dept? I like the idea of them meeting through that somehow!
