In the semi-canon drama CD, Jakotsu's part of an entertainment troupe in hell and he's actually pretty decent at treating the (demonic, dead) fans...
His attitude towards guys is generally very positive and friendly, the issue there is more him being too flirty and direct than him being a jerk.
Luckily Jakotsu is also a very loyal type and he listens to what he's told as long as someone he respects tells him to - so if Majima is his boss and they fought before, then he'll be a decent employee. Tolerates women even if he isn't that welcoming to them >_>

And hitting on while fighting is a given with Jakotsu, getting to beat up pretty boys is half the appeal of brawling, don't you see~
