I believe you've misinterpeted what I've said - if I'm wrong, please correct me, but I'm trying to make sure I'm as succinct as possible - so I'll see if I can lay this out better, using this diagram as a reference. The blue section represents her memories from using a similar example, birth until age 15, while the red section shows memories past fifteen.

With the way I was planning on playing her AU, I wanted her to keep her memories until the accident - or to be more specific, retain the memories - so she would have anterograde amnesia or something similar to that. She can recall things for a short period of time, but not for long periods of time. As for who writes the journal, the memories are written by herself while the event is happening, if that makes sense; if that's not possible, I can go with another alternative option, but I would prefer to mirror canon in this case, as she would be able to recognize her own handwriting, seeing as it wouldn't have changed all that much from the age of fifteen to, let's say... seventeen.

As for her analysis ability, since the FAQ says that SHSL abilities would be considered regains, I would most likely have to do it that way - correct me if I'm wrong - if that makes sense. Of course, since it is also anterograde amnesia, I am willing to cure it alternatively through having her see a doctor through surgery, therapy, hypnosis or some other method, since even with the loss of memories past the event that would have caused her amnesia, the memories are still stored in the body and cell memory.

I apologize if I'm going around in circles or if this sounds confusing but hopefully that makes sense to you guys?
