The shadow laughs even as she's clearly being overpowered and pinned down by two people. It makes Anna wonder for a moment—can she be choked out anymore? Obviously the shadow isn't, but... she still has lungs. But her brain is always going to get power from the fission reactor in her chest. Fucking hell, she hates this.

It's not the point. That's definitely not the answer she wanted to hear, but at least she's gonna take it out on her shadow instead. In a quick movement, her foot comes off the robotic calf and comes down hard on her shadow's very, very organic stomach. It makes the shadow's body spasm, struggle against James' arm, and it puts a sick look on Anna's face. "Retrospec made her. She knows everything they know."

He's right, though, and the shadow sputters out a laugh. "Listen to your friend. You're chasing shadows again, Lehmann." And regular, normal-ass Anna looks from James to the shadow and back, clenching her jaw and hiding her eyes behind filthy bangs the whole time. Does the shadow have to die now? Is she strong enough to kill a duplicate of herself? Hell, even Kasen had to take out the spectre of Annalise.

Her fists clench hard enough to make her arms shake.
