[Tatsuo likes Mahoney's house. Sure, the training yard was a bit of a surprise at first. He nearly lost a limb or two getting across the first time, but once he realized the whole place was basically one, big obstacle course... he kind of got into it. Yeah, it's not exactly the safest obstacle course, but it's challenging enough that he goes back a second time. And then a third.
It's on his third run when he notices something different. While on the second floor of the house a training dummy pops out of a wall. And instead of simply knocking it back... he ends up punching it through the wall.]

[Tatsuo looks down at his hand. Interesting. He'd already noticed he felt energized whenever he visited the house, but this... was a bit more than that.]
IV -- tell me what you see
[While some of his more fashion forward friends might call the blue coat gaudy, Tatsuo had found it to be quite warm. But apparently not warm enough for Vanderweele's castle. By the time he makes his way to the round room, he can see his breath in the air and his hands are dug deep into the pockets of his coat. And he's still feeling cold.
He knows he shouldn't have gone in alone. But he'd only meant to take a quick look around and then maybe go find someone else to explore this pile of stone. But no, the entrance had simply ceased to exist the moment he turned his back on it, and he knows he really shouldn't have been at all surprised.
So when he finally encounters someone else and finds himself staring down a hallway of mirrors, he scowls a little. Yeah, this isn't going to end well. The last time he walked down a corridor with mirrors he ended up fighting chimeras. He looks over at the other person and resolves to get out of this stupid castle in one piece.]
We should probably stick together from this point.
