[Every month, Retrospec found new ways to test her patience. Sometimes twice a month, like this one. Lucy had...done the best she could. She'd mostly stayed away from people. Mostly. She may have put the fear of god in some hikers, and...some pedestrians, and some late night shoppers, and some police officers she definitely didn't like.
But Lucy was avoiding people now, and just wanted to take a nap. Why did she keep closing this window? Ugh.
Eventually, though, the harpy's rasping claws caught on the window frame, and she lifted it up and out of the way. She hopped down, and ruffled her feathers--what was left of them now. There wasn't just feather and gauze on her arms, but something opalescent and crystalline on patches of her skin too.
She didn't notice anyone else in the room, yawning extravagantly. Was it supposed to be daytime? Nighttime? Lucy wasn't keeping count anymore.]
