[Still sidled up against the truck, Akira continues staring through the slats in spite of his own negative commentary. No matter how ridiculous Ryoji's statement sounds and no matter how much he felt as though he was hallucinating mere minutes ago, the fact that his company agrees that he heard something like a bird of some kind within the body of the truck intrigues him.
Light catches on something and for a moment, he tenses up. He slams his forehead against the truck hurriedly and stares harder, but all he catches next is the dark mane belonging to a horse, bathed in the light shining in from the slats on the other side of the truck. It sure looked golden for a moment there, but it's definitely a horses mane.]
...Huh.
[Akira pushes away from the truck and stares down the street at nothing in particular with the distinct feeling of something slipping from his grip. No matter what he saw with his eyes, maybe his ears didn't deceive him before.]
Well. [But if it's just a duck, why bother? What is he doing this for anymore? Akira stares down at Ryoji some more, unblinking.] ...Yeah. Tell the driver that you think you saw... a duck. You do it.
[So that Akira isn't considered the weird one. you know.]
