[OOC: AU name is "Yin" to most people, but Jinjing Sawyl Longwei on paper. Her info is here and the only thing changed is that she doesn't smoke cigarettes. TL;DR is that Yin's a 20 year old drummer who dropped out of high school after the motorcycle accident where she lost most of her right arm. Approachable but with a rude streak to keep people at arm's length. Plays for all sorts of local rock, metal, or punk acts, but doesn't belong to any one group. Has way too many tattoos and piercings, usually has a fresh cut or bruise somewhere on her at any point in time. Works several part time cleaning jobs, hangs out in bars with a fake I.D. or on the university campus when checking in on her little sister. Lives alone, gets into arguments on social media a lot, posts drum covers, drunken rants, and "dramatic readings" of dark classic fairy tales on her YT channel. Will 1v1 you IRL. ]
( II ) [ hectic as it is in the grocery aisles, people are, for the most part, being civil. until the bell rings for the bakery counter which announces a fresh batch of cookies straight from the oven. you've never seen so many people practically clamouring over one another for a place in line to get those piping hot treats. who can blame them? nothing beats chocolate chip cookies with the chips still soft, cinnamon buns just bursting with the scent of spices, and croissants with the buttered crust glistening in the fluorescent lamps.
apparently, Yin was unprepared for this, seeing as how she was heading away from that section. messenger bag hung across her chest and one arm out to try and part the crowd, she struggled to get clear of the mayhem and into the next aisle. though she stood out with her 6' tall frame and all that blonde hair, all the customers around her had visions of pastries and brads in their eyes. they completely ignored her.
until she boomed out in a loud voice that startled several near her and caused a hush to fall over the crowd. ] Okay! I swear if ONE more person pushes me, I'm gonna make 'em regret it!
[ one small boy took refuge behind his mother and, upon seeing this, Yin's seething expression took a turn for the apologetic. she had certainly drawn the wrong kind of attention to herslf but, honestly? people were being rude. it's that mentality that kept her glare steady as she started pushing forward again, the crowd this time parting for her as she made her way over to the frozen foods section. it would be a good place to, literally, chill out with her forehead pressed to the glass display. hopefully you didn't need anything inside there; she doesn't seem to be moving or acknowledging anything going on around her... ]
