[ truthfully, akutagawa has been been wondering about the exact same thing. granted, his daily life isn't as bustling as most people in recollé's is, but still. the work he has had to do isn't unaffected by these colorful inconveniences.
either way, his routine isn't completely borked, so at least he's able to visit the candy shop without ending up covered in gunky colors or severely maimed by some kind of strange, formerly inanimate object. hopefully he can just get some jellybeans and chocolate covered cookies without incident.
