[While she was young she does try to be a little independent. Though his sudden shift of attitude does get her attention and she stares for a moment.
When he seems to be nicer she tilts her head.]
...wait so we're getting sweets?
[Now he was speaking her language and she starts to loosen up a little.]
Mama and Papa will be okay for a little while, if we get sweets!
