Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! • Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM.
• For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC!

BLURB: Here you should write what you have for your AU; you can list your character's hobbies, who their friends and family are, if they have any particular quirks or interesting pieces of their history, if they're from a wealthy family or if they're struggling to get by, anything you feel is relevant.
LOOKING FOR: Are you looking for family members or friends or enemies for your character to be pre-planned? Or are you asking for ideas or feedback on your AU idea? Anything goes, just specify what you would like.

I WILL TOTALLY OUT MYSELF. I actually had the thought last month after tagging you on TFLN "I should ask them if they're game shopping" but chickened out, so thank you for doing this despite my lame self.

WHY WOULD SHE EVER?? It's true, she has no reason to go after people like, that right?? Potentially we could coordinate some regains so that they both think they're just falsely accused for a while. I did put in a request on how much getting the Death Note back will cost, so we'll see! I'd planned for him to get it and be like OH SHIT and have some serious suspicions before getting the actual memories of him using it. I know Misa's own regains might be a little different since she's actually more powerful than him with the eyes, but I will let you know what I find out.

MOST DEFINITELY. The DN totally corrupts all the users. Granted, there's something to be said about the ability to be corrupted like that, but you know... she has a chance to be what she could have been before it all goes to shit.

Yes, Misa. He's your soulmate. Something he might play off of if it would a.) keep her from revealing all the stuff they're finding out and b.) if she does get her Eyes back because that'd be a HUUUUGE deal.

LMFAO REALLY... when you tagged me on tfln i saw you were in recolle and i was like wow maybe i should app there, it would be fun to play with a dn cast since like. who else plays dn characters in 2018 lfmkdgnkfm

that sounds like a really cool idea though!! it would be interesting for them to have like. some sort of bond for a while where they both feel wrongly accused by the police then slowly begin to realize oh wait lmfao they were right?? we were doing all those things??? oops.

but for real i've already talked with ashe (vane's player) about how all this stuff is going to cause issues in their rs so i'm all for stuff getting hella complicated, of course she's not at the level of easy to manipulate as she was in canon but i mean. she's still enamored by things like soulmates/fate/love at first sight so if akira planned to get her to do stuff/keep information from others that'd definitely still be the route to try for it!! since it worked so well the first time

Yeah! Give them something to talk about/potentially bond over (as much as Akira really bonds with anyone), and then W H O O P S?

Potentially ruining the good things in your life because you can't help yourself, best decisions TBQH. I'm gonna feel bad for Vane but you know changing the world is the most important! Making it a better place! But he would honestly do what he needed to, at least, make sure that she keeps the secret especially as he starts to take real action. Even if not soulmates (especially when she's still very devoted to her bf) at least the whole "meant to do this" route, though that's honestly how he's going to end up feeling. I may already have a potential NPC to test the DN on when he gets it, but that's a few months from now. She might approve because they're a bad person. THEY CAN BE INNOCENT FOR A WHILE. ("Innocent")
