CHARACTER: Count Bleck/Blumiere/depressed disaster misery hobo, etc. He's probably called Nikolai Lumiere or something.
CANON: Super Paper Mario
BLURB:

- he's like in his mid thirties? Around 35-37.
- Lecturer at the university who also does private tutoring if a student needs help. He teaches english and french literature. Owns a lot of books? Like seriously, a lot.
- Enjoys translating and reinterpreting old books and manuscripts.
- nice guy with Some Issues after his wife just disappeared for some mysterious reason. apparently he used to be a pretty different person before then, but he's mostly just quiet and sad now!
- Gets really weird and dark sometimes, mostly when talking about books that have themes of death, mortality, fate, etc. He tries to keep it out of his teaching curriculum and succeeds (mostly).
- Has night terrors, he is not sure why this is. Also has nightmares that leave him stressed and panicked, but he never remembers them.
- Estranged from his parents and the rest of his family. There was some kind of devastating accident that resulted in their deaths, but he was detached before that due to Personal Reasons he refuses to get into.
- Can't help but adopt strays, help old ladies cross the road, give directions to lost people and make sure they get home okay, carry people's shopping, etc. For someone who looks like a moody time traveler from victorian england, he sure is a good samaritan. He's a massive soft touch.
- There are days where he just does not want to get out of bed and he just doesn't and cancels lectures for the day. To his credit he catches up on things later, but students who take his class should be ready for unannounced last-minute cancellations.
- Doesn't quite understand technology sometimes. Has a clunky computer that he really should replace but never got around to, and it works for him, somehow??
- Lives in a nice little house somewhere that's got flowers out the front, nice and cheery. Apparently he grew up in a castle though what's up with that

LOOKING FOR:
- Friends?? Fellow lecturers, teachers, etc.
- Students, people he might be tutoring, whatever. He likes teaching people.
- Energetic people to counteract his entire personality, tbh

OPTIONAL ENABLE ME: Uhhh I don't know honestly? I love AU games but I'm still on the fence! V. tentative ideas.
but like. I would cry if he had canonmates. Not literally, but that would be excitingly great.
