AU WORKSHOP - JANUARY Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. McBurn | Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel
CANON: Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel
BLURB:
-His canon age is a serious unknown, I'm probably going to run with about 21 here.
-He's incredibly smart, but tends towards laziness and boredom about most things.
-He's got a really weird obsession with fire and explosions and also about demons. He is actually diagnosed as a pyromaniac and sees a therapist about it, but treatment hasn't worked too well.
-He'll more than likely have taken some martial arts classes, basically something his parents would have hoped would keep him out of fights. What style, I'm not sure on yet. His canon fighting style is rather unique so I can't even use that as a basis. He also may have taken some classes in fencing or some other form of swordsmanship.
-Yes, he'll still have the blue and pink hair here. His natural hair color will be blond and he dyed it blue as a teen to piss off his father. The pink came from him losing a bet and he grew to like it and kept it that way.
-He'll be a college student, either in his last year or first year of grad school. Not sure about his major yet, but he'd want something that could lead to a career where he can make things explode and burn and that's a desirable outcome, my first thought would be pyrotechnics but something else may work better. He gets good grades, but has a tendency to sleep in class.
-He didn't come from Recolle and doesn't tend to speak much on where he came from even to friends.
-His parents are reasonably well off and influential where he's from, but they don't tend to acknowledge their troublemaker son. It would be possible to make a connection here, but I'm likely going to give him a common enough last name that he could plausibly deny the connection.
-When he was about 17 or so he got into a rather major bit of trouble. I haven't figured all of it out, but it probably will involve something important exploding or being set on fire. About the only reason he's not in jail now is because of his father's influence and money.
-Overall I'm leaving him pretty wide open to either end up being a criminal lurking in the shadows like his canon self, or actually reform and then find out what an asshole he was.
LOOKING FOR: Well, I do need some details to flesh out his AU history. Otherwise I'd be open to some other connections like friends, fellow troublemakers, other college students, etc. I'd also be open to some folks who may have come from the same town as him once I define where that is. And if anyone plays a shrink, I'd be open to that character being the one who has to deal with him because he's only going to get worse as far as the pyromania goes once he can regain his fire related powers. Also one thing that would be very much wanted is other people he could get into fights with and would actually be a reasonably even match.
And if anyone actually were to consider apping from any part of this canon, I'd love to make a connection with you whether you play a protag or fellow antagonist.
OPTIONAL ENABLE ME: Right now McBurn is the loudest muse I've got and I've only really got time for one character.

yams pretends like he's chilled out since getting into recolle uni to make sure his dumbass bff doesn't flunk out or run out of tuition money, but he's still an avid kendo practitioner and definitely wouldn't turn down having a fight buddy of any sort, if you'd be interested in that!
