Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. CHARACTER: Koutarou Takamura
CANON: Bungou to Alchemist
BLURB:
- 28yo, almost 29, moved to Recollé when he was 19.
- He is very friendly and cheerful. He also loves busic, besides art. And animals but he unfortunately doesn't have the time to keep any pet. When he finds something he wants to draw, he gets very engrossed and doesn't notice his surroundings. He's also very kind and likes to help out.
- Has one younger sibling and two older siblings.
- He comes from Japan, from the outskirts of some big city. His father worked at a dojo and wanted Koutarou to follow in his footsteps. Koutarou did not want that, and instead wanted to pursue painting. He still knows judo (or something) though.
- He managed to get himself admitted to Recollé University's Arts Program(s) and graduated a little while back.
- He's gained some popularity as a painter over time and gets a enough commissions to get by well enough.
- He used to live in the dorms but lives in Birch Hills now. He wants to move to Crimson Crest since it's quieter and he could have an atelier at home there. Currently he has an atelier in Apprassage. He sleeps there a lot when he has work.
- He teaches painting once a week, at the university. Twice a month he also goes to the elementary school to teach.
- He also has a girl/boyfriend that he often draws portraits of, both sketches and paintings, with and without him/her sitting down to model. Idle sketches while doing something else is common. Equality in his relationship is important, though he doesn't mind his partner taking charge. He spaces out and gets distracted a lot when he draws anyway, he probably needs it, he supposes.
- He often goes to the library or bookstores for artbooks and poetry. He also sits in on poetry readings. Sometimes he jots down poems. Mostly romantic ones. He doesn't really show them to people though; he's very much an amateur and all.
- He does not have a drivers license, and mostly walks, takes a bike, or (if he has to) takes the bus. He stops way too often to sketch something in the middle of the sidewalk.

So I don't end up editing this comment more than I have, I've made a post for further history ideas over here.

LOOKING FOR: If anybody wants to fill any of those sibling roles or be the person he dates, that would be awesome. Or students, for that matter. Or friends, or colleagues (or why not both) or classmates, dormmates, everything. He's lived in the city for nearly 10 years and he's friendly, so he'll know a lot of people. If anybody wants to be siblings with him, the surname would need to be discussed, I think?
OPTIONAL ENABLE ME: So I've never played in a memloss/AU game before so I am a bit hesitant but it does seem fun.
